Tiny little Asha, 2 weeks old

When little Asha decided to make her appearance into the world, she was a little earlier than everyone expected. Luckily, her mom and dad made it to the hospital in time, and Asha came bouncing in at 4 pounds, 11 ounces. She's a tough little girl, though, so after a little time in the NICU, she came home and is now doing great. I was so excited get to spend the morning with her -- she is the smallest baby I've gotten to take pictures of and she is SO sweet! I also got to spend a little special time with Jordan, her big sister, while Asha took a little break. Jordan is so funny -- she just turned 2 and she's a total little monkey, playing around on her bed and her rocking chair and just giggling away the morning.

Asha is one lucky little girl to have such a sweet big sister and amazing parents! Congrats Ruben and Melanie -- you guys have a beautiful family! :)

A Beautiful Evening with the Kelley Family

Meet Maeve. Two years old, lover of dinosaurs and space, almost always smiling, and full of spunk! We met at Chautauqua Park this week to take pictures for Maeve and her parents, and we could not have ordered up a more perfect evening! Unfortunately, one of my favorite spots at the park was closed off due to "heavy animal activity," and since I didn't particularly want any bears in the background we found some different places to shoot. We started out at the playground and then gradually made our way over to the open space. I loved just getting to watch Maeve throughout the session. She was so happy that it was next to impossible for her to walk anyplace -- she skipped, jumped, ran or danced pretty much everywhere, and it's almost impossible not to smile when you see her doing it!

This was my first shoot that I have done in awhile. It has been difficult for me to get away too much since Drew has been boycotting any form of a bottle or sippy cup since he was about 2 months old. Things seem to be looking up now, though, so I'm hoping to shoot some more. SO, if you are hoping to get pictures done feel free to contact me!

Happy fall, everyone!

I loved these sleepy, dusty tootsies...my last shot of the day and the sign of a fun day for sure!

Absolute perfection...x2!

What a FUN day! I have to go on record and say that this was one of my absolute favorite photo shoots yet. It's no secret that I love newborns, so when there are two of them it just makes it that much more fun -- and these two were as sweet as they come! Declan (with the red hair) and Teague (with the brown hair) were 10 days old when I got to take their pictures, and they were just so sleepy and snuggly that they didn't even mind being snuggled up on top of each other. I would have loved to pack them right up with the rest of my stuff and bring them home with me, but I have a feeling their moms would have missed them pretty quickly! :) I don't think it's possible to look at those little faces and not want to pick them both up and love them...

Colleen and Patrick...They do!

A week ago I had the amazing opportunity to photograph one of the sweetest couples I have ever met. I have never photographed a wedding before, but about 6 months ago I was asked by the groom's mother if I would be interested in shooting her son's wedding. I declined at first, but then decided I would give it a try. I'm SO glad I did! It was so fun to be surrounded by so much love. You could just feel it in the air -- not only between the bride and groom, but from each and every guest at the wedding. At first it looked like rain and wind might threaten the outdoor wedding, but like magic everything lifted about half an hour before the ceremony and you could not have asked for a more beautiful day. And the setting! I hope the pictures do it justice -- it was just breathtaking.

Another treat for the day was that I got to shoot alongside my good friend and fellow photographer, Sue Beckerman of This Moment Photography. It was amazing to get to shoot with her, as it allowed us to capture the same moments from completely different angles. I love how the pictures work together to tell a story of the day.

Thank you so much, Colleen and Patrick, for allowing us to share this day with you. I wish you only the best in your future!
