The Nash Family and Baby Sarah, 3 weeks

I absolutely love newborn photo shoots. There is just something so exciting about a new addition to a family, especially when there is already an older sibling. This session was especially fun, because it was  strikingly similar to my own situation this time last year. Big brother Ryan is adjusting to being a big brother, just as my Benjamin was this time last year. Ryan is so sweet, and he LOVES trains. He had fun playing with the train sets that I brought along, and he showed off some of his own to me, as well. And it is already clear that Sarah is going to love her big brother. I love the train picture in this set, because I love how she is just watching him while he plays with his train. So sweet!

Thank you to the Nash family for inviting me into your home to take pictures for you -- I hope you like your sneak peak!

The Finegan Family

I was so excited to get to take pictures for the Finegan family again this year! The last time I took their pictures I was wobbling around -- just a couple weeks away from having a baby. This year's session was much easier! :) We met on a really cold morning up in Longmont, and I loved that there was snow on the ground for the pictures. They came prepared with hot cocoa and coffee, which helped them all stay warm (even when they were taking pictures without their coats on), and the girls were really good sports in the cold.

Susie and Steve, I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak -- I loved getting to walk around and catch up with you again!

The Byrne Family

This was such a FUN session! I have to admit, I was a little intimidated for this photo shoot because I was taking pictures for a friend and amazing photographer. Lea Ann did my family's portraits this fall, so I was honored that she asked me to take some for her, as well! We met in Longmont at Lone Hawk Farms, which, if you haven't been there before, is an incredible place to visit. I loved getting to spend the evening with Lea Ann and her family -- the weather was just perfect, there was still some color on the trees, and seriously -- is their son not the absolute cutest? I'm sure he could get away with just about anything with those blue eyes and that sweet smile! :)

Thanks for letting me take pictures for you, Lea Ann -- I hope you guys like your sneak peak!

The Wallace Family

Last weekend I had the privilege to photograph the Wallace family. We met at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, and I had a great time following their two-year-old Kai around. He is such a sweetheart, and I loved watching how much fun he had snuggling up with his mom and dad!

The clouds weren't really cooperating with us, but the temperature wasn't too bad and it made for a cozy afternoon. It always amazes me how different Chautauqua Park looks with the different weather. I've done photo shoots there in every type of weather, from bright summer evenings to snowy winter mornings, and it is just as beautiful every time.

Thank you, Kristin and Glenn, for making the trip to Boulder and letting me take pictures for you guys. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

Beautiful Brielle, 5 days new

What a treat it was to get to meet sweet little Brielle! Brielle was born into a family that is very special to me -- I have had the privilege to photograph both of her big brothers as newborns, and I have gotten to do a couple family shoots for them, as well. In fact, her oldest brother Jack was the very first baby on this blog! Now a girl has joined the Morris family, and I was thrilled that they asked me to do her newborn pictures, as well. They are always so much fun to photograph, and I think we have as much fun visiting as we do taking pictures! It was so cute to see the boys with their new little sister, too -- you can tell that they are naturals. It was just about the sweetest thing ever to see Jack holding her in his lap, examining her hand and giving her kisses. If that doesn't melt your heart then I can't imagine what would!

Thank you, Erika and Kyle, for letting me be a part of so many special moments for your family -- Brielle is one lucky little girl! :)

I can't get over how much she looks like her big brother in this one on her mom's lap -- I took a picture of Jack with the exact same expression! :)
